I was honored when a friend presented me with a pair of Dan Post Vegas Cut Cowboy Boots as a gift during our 2008 Thanksgiving pot-luck dinner. My friend once owned and operated a boot store in Oklahoma. He retired and moved to a community near where I live to be close to his children. He's a wonderful man, full of stories and fun.
The boots are just like the other Dan Post Vegas Cut Cowboy Boots in my collection. They were discontinued by the manufacturer in 2007. My friend found them at his old store, and got them for me. He has seen me in my other Vegas Cut cowboy boots, and thought I'd like them. I sure do!
The boots are traditional cowboy style, 13" tall, 1-5/8" walking heel, and have a very intricate stitching pattern on the shafts. These black beauties have a very distinguished-looking toe, made of smooth-quilled ostrich. They make an excellent "boot clunk" when I walk in them. Dressy enough to go with a suit, classic enough to wear with jeans. Very comfortable, too.
