These boots are made by Rujo Boots, which is a private brand made in León, Mexico, the Bootmaking capital of the world. I think Rujo Boots are better than Tecovas. They are exceptionally well-made and have a slightly higher heel than standard western boots.
These boots are the "Arturo" model and are dyed black. Known as "a gentleman's boot", this classy boot is perfect for dressy occasions when I wear a man's business suit.
The boots are made with 100% caiman belly skin and calfskin on the shafts. They are the traditional 12-inch height. The western heel height is 1.7 inches. There are pull-tabs are on the sides of the boot for ease of pulling on. Traditional scalloped shafts and decorative stitching complete this good-looking boot. The pegged sole is all leather, and very durable.
The boots run true-to-size and were exceptionally comfortable on the first wear. Rujo Boots calls the insole "cloud walk." They are absolutely right -- the most comfortable boots to walk in that I have had in a long time.
These boots should be worn with a suit, and go well with any of the suits in my wardrobe. The craftsmanship of production is great.
Pegged 9-iron welted solid leather sole is a sign of quality construction:
Focus close and focus far:
