These boots are made by Rujo Boots, which is a private brand made in León, Mexico, the Bootmaking capital of the world. I think Rujo Boots are better than Tecovas. They are exceptionally well-made and have a slightly higher heel than standard western boots.
These boots are the "Blake" model and are dyed black cherry. This classy boot is perfect for dressy occasions when I wear a man's business suit.
The boots are made with 100% caiman tail skin and calfskin on the shafts. They are the traditional 12-inch height. The western heel height is 1.7 inches. There are pull-tabs are on the sides of the boot for ease of pulling on. Traditional scalloped shafts and decorative stitching complete this good-looking boot. The pegged sole is all leather, and very durable.
The boots run true-to-size and were exceptionally comfortable on the first wear. Rujo Boots calls the insole "cloud walk." They are absolutely right -- the most comfortable boots to walk in that I have had in a long time.
These boots should be worn with a suit, and go well with any of the suits in my wardrobe. The craftsmanship of production is great.
Pegged 9-iron welted solid leather sole is a sign of quality construction:
Man, the scales on these boots are f'kin gorgeous:
Focus close and focus far:
Suit up! I enjoy wearing boots with suits, especially with classy "gentlemen's" boots like these.
Man, these boots look great with my Brooks Brothers Navy Suit!
