These boots are made by Rujo Boots, which is a private brand made in León, Mexico, the Bootmaking capital of the world. I think Rujo Boots are better than Tecovas. They are exceptionally well-made and have a slightly higher heel than standard western boots.
These boots are the "Canyon" model, made of the roughout (suede side) of the hide. They are dyed a medium tan they call butterscotch.
The boots have calfskin on the shafts. They are the traditional 12-inch height. The western heel height is 1.7 inches. There are pull-tabs are on the sides of the boot for ease of pulling on. Traditional scalloped shafts and decorative stitching complete this good-looking boot. The pegged sole is all leather, and very durable.
The boots run true-to-size and will be exceptionally comfortable on the first wear. Rujo Boots calls the insole "cloud walk." They are absolutely right -- the most comfortable boots to walk in that I have had in a long time. The craftsmanship of production is great.
I bought these boots on sale and wear them just for knockin' around, cowboy style. (But they look good with a suit, too!)
Pegged 9-iron solid leather sole is a sign of quality construction:
These boots look cool with a suit:
