These boots are made by Rujo Boots, which is a private brand made in León, Mexico, the Bootmaking capital of the world. I think Rujo Boots are better than Tecovas. They are exceptionally well-made and have a slightly higher heel than standard western boots.
These boots are the "Trace" model, made with a caiman belly vamp and a shaft that is hand-stitched. They are dyed black cherry. This exotic skin boot is beautiful as it is traditional among cowboy boots. It has a 7-toe, which is a narrow square tip.
The boots have a calfskin lining on the shafts. They are the traditional 12-inch height. The western heel height is 1.7 inches. There are pull-tabs are on the sides of the boot for ease of pulling on. Traditional scalloped shafts and decorative stitching complete this good-looking boot. The pegged sole is all leather, and very durable.
The boots run true-to-size (this pair is 11.0D) and were exceptionally comfortable on the first wear. Rujo Boots calls the insole "cloud walk." They are absolutely right -- the most comfortable boots to walk in that I have had in a long time. The craftsmanship of production is great.
