Station Boots
Model FFB 100 (steel toe)

These USA-made boots are 8 inches high, and are almost exact copies of the Chippewa Firefighter (Ruttman, model 27422) that I have long sung praises about. I bought a pair of these boots, model FFB105, a few years ago. Those boots are made with a softer, less shiny leather.

These boots are made of 5-5-1/2 oz high shine corrected grain leather. The boot has a padded cushion collar and cushioned ankle pads for support and comfort. Unlike the Chippewa model, the tongue area is cushioned with 1/4" poly-foam for extra comfort. The boot interior is lined with double-ply Cambrelle.

The boot is Goodyear welted and has a full storm welt, so they are water-resistant. The boot has a triple-ribbed steel shank and extra-strength heel counters. The sole is a Vibram 100F non-marking oil-resistant lug sole.

The central boot zipper is made from non-corrosive metal. Different from the Chippewa, this boot has longer laces which makes it incredibly easier to lace in the boot zipper and provide room for the ankle and foot to fit.

Overall, these boots are solid, rugged, and an exact copy of their Chippewa Firefighter cousins. Like the Chips, these boots have a steel toe. They are very comfortable and for the money, a strong competitor to the unavailable Chippewa Ruttman.

Photos to come, once I get them on myself and on my Harley
