This is a jeans-style all-leather trucker jacket. It has a rugged fit, and is rather warm and heavy. Despite claims that it is lightweight enough to wear all year, it is not. I enjoy the style and comfort, and wear it when the air temps are lower than 55°F (13°C).
This well-made garment has a 26-inch back length and is made of thick naked cowhide. It has a metal shank button front closure, two button upper flap pockets, two lower pockets, adjustable side tabs, metal shank sleeve cuffs, and poly satin lining. It is made in the U.S.A.
Stiffness: The claim is "medium weight" 3-3.5oz leather. It is flexible when fully broken in. But it weighs a ton -- almost as heavy as my Schott Pefecto motorcycle jacket. This jacket is great with my casual leather gear, with BLUF gear, and with a Marlboro.
Marketing info from the manufacturer: Our naked cowhide leather is a premium top grain cowhide that combines comfort and durability. The leather boasts a naturally tight open pore structure that ensures a softer touch and superior comfort. Its weight and warmth are on par with deluxe heavy steerhide. The full aniline, drum dyed process preserves the leather’s texture, enhancing its natural grain with a subtle, semi-matte finish. It is then vacuum dried (instead of toggle dried) that leads to a slightly stiffer result as the fibers are not stretched and softened. The leather is designed to age gracefully and expand its characteristics over time.
