Alden Boots

The Alden Shoe Company was founded in 1884 by Charles H. Alden in Middleborough, Massachusetts. In 1970 a new factory was constructed in this location where production continues today. Alden is now the only original New England shoe and bootmaker remaining of the hundreds who began so long ago. It is still a family owned business.

Styles of boots made: work boots. This company once made highly-popular police motorcycle patrol boots for the Massachussetts State Police, but not any more.

Unfortunately most of Alden's products these days are dorky dress shoes.

Value: Alden work boots present good value for the price paid. The boots are constructed of superb quality leather and materials. The boots are made using hand processes.

Availability: Alden shoes and boots are available directly from the company via its stores or authorized shoe vendors.

Custom sizing: Not available.

How to order: Visit a company store or authorized retailer that you can find on their website (see below.)
