Chippewa Harness
Bomber Jacket Boots

These are Chippewa Harness Boots, model 27914. The leather from which the boots are made is labeled "bomber jacket." The name comes from using the roughout side of the hide, which produces a pebble-grain feel and appearance. (I also own a pair of Chippewa engineer boots made of the same leather.)

These boots are 12 inches tall, have a stovepipe design (no scallop), and pull straps on both sides of the shaft. The yellow plug oil-resistant sole is made by Vibram for Chippewa. It is rather smooth, but durable enough to use for work, riding a motorcycle, or just walking around town.

The boots have a snip (or blunt) toe and 1-1/2 inch slight slanted walking heels.
